Get Connected at Truth Assembly of God

Christian Education:

Our Christian Education department heads up many areas. The goal of all of the following, is to bring each participant to a deeper knowledge of the Bible.

TAG Teams:

Our Small Groups, TAG Teams, meet on Sunday evenings. These small groups meet in various places around the county. This is a great way to make new friends and dive deeper into the Truths of God's Word.

Sunday School:

Sunday School is a Bible Education hour that meets at 9:15am in Chariton and 9:45am in Melcher-Dallas every Sunday. There is a class for everyone. For children we have classes for nusery/infants, preschool/kindergarten, first/second grade, and third-fifth grade. Teens meet in the Hub, and have two classes, high school and middle school. For adults we have several choices. The classes for March, April and May are a parenting class, a bible history class, and an adult curriculum class. Kenton White is our Christian Education pastor.

Children's Ministry

SPLAT Children's Church

SPLAT Chilren's Church meets during adult worship on Sunday morning's at 10:30. It is a lively and fun celebration of God, where kids get to express in their own way how great God is. It's not all fun and games, kids are serious worshippers, and they know, often better than adults how to show God their love. Pastor Don Morrison and his wife Becky always prepare great lessons to teach the kids God' Word.

BGMC

BGMC stands for Boys, Girls, Missionaries, Crusade. It is the missions giving program for the children in the Assemblies of God. Phyllis Chilton and Diane White head up this ministry, teaching the children the importance of missions and that you are never to young to give to God's purpose. For more information about BGMC go to http://bgmc.ag.org/

Missionettes

Missionettes is the girls club program of the Assemblies of God. Similiar to the Girls Scouts program, it teaches God's Word as a priority. Girls earn badges, learn verses, do crafts and participate in worship. Missionettes meet weekly during the school year on Wednesday nights at 7pm. The director of Missionettes is Becky Morrison.

Royal Rangers

Royal Rangers is the boys club program of the Assemblies of God. Boys are taught many skills during this weekly program. Most importantly, boys are instructed on developing a love of the Bible and for the things of God. Rangers make Pinewood Derby cars and go on campoouts among many other fun activites. Rangers meet during the school year at 7pm Wednesdays, in the church fellowship hall.

Student Ministry (6th through 12th grade)

X Student Ministry

X meets Wednesday nights at 103 N. Main Street in Chariton. More information can be found at www.xatconnections.org.

Speed The Light

Speed the Light is the missions giving program for teenagers of the Assemblies of God. Money given to this program, is done so by the students. It goes to our Assemblies of God missionaries to purchase many big equipment needs, mainly vehicles. Last year, our students gave $6,027.72 to Speed the Light. This year we set our goal for $7,500. We hope to teach the students the importance of Sacrifice as we race to the goal. The national website can be found here http://www.stl.ag.org/
